We designed and deployed an autonomous multi-step AI agent using LangChain and GPT-4o. The agent ingests claim submissions, cross-references policy databases, validates supporting documents using OCR and NLP, flags anomalies, and routes claims for payment or human escalation. The system integrates directly with the insurer's existing claims management platform via REST APIs.
Within 90 days of production deployment, over 83% of routine claims were processed end-to-end without human intervention. Adjuster capacity was redirected to complex edge cases, reducing average payout time from 11 days to under 2.
